1948 Chevy Five Window Truck Motor replacement |
Here is the 350 engine with the heads on. The block has been bored out to 60 over making it a 360ci. I had KB 10:1 pistons, standard crank, and rods installed along with a new Clevite Cam (# 229-1993) with a 230/230@.050, Advertised Duration of 287/287, cam left of .480/.480 with a 108degrees c/c and 78 Degrees cross over. The heads are 1962 fu lie 462 heads with 1.94/1.50 valves. I will have 4130 Chrome push rods, Roller rockers, Edelbrock Performer intake and a 750 cmf carburetor. This should be a very nice power plant for the truck. |
This is one of the 461 heads that I had completely rebuilt for today's gas. |
This is the top look at the engine showing that the heads are mounted and ready for the lifters, push rods, and rockers. |
Here is the top with the new lifters rockers and push rods. |
Here is the Motor in its new color. |
Seeing how the new motor will fit into the frame. |
Using another block, I set up the motor mounts. |
